I was scrolling through Shoefly’s New Arrivals today and found myself continually impressed with styles by Camper. Inherent in the design of their shoes is a voice that speaks with innovation and pride yet also with a modest simplicity, that is, without frills and gimmicks. As such, Camper’s shoes don’t necessitate flare and flash to attract attention — their elegant designs do the job quite well, infusing confidence within their shoes. Still, there was something special about these shoes that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. It didn’t take long for me to figure out what.

A new president will take office on January 20th with a strong, intelligent, and imminently fashionable lady at his side. Michelle Obama seems confident that she’ll be comfortable in her new role as first lady, which includes influencing the nation’s approach to fashion. (Is that sexist?– I guess not, since Mr. Obama has done his share to influence men’s fashion.) 
The Obamas’ “no drama” approach extends to Michelle’s wardrobe, which is sleek, comfortable, and glamorous without being pretentious.
