What’s in your closet?

NannisWith the fall fashion season just around the corner, it’s time to start taking a shoe inventory. For many, fall is the start of  a new busy season where the light at the end of the tunnel looks a lot like — dare I say it — Christmas. Hopefully, with a thorough assessment of your current shoe status, when fall gets here you’ll be able to hit the ground running, so to speak. Fashion author Samantha Cabrera says there are some “must-haves” styles for any closet regardless of the season, so take a moment to round up any shoes gone astray and head to your closet to give it a once-over. Then ask yourself: Do I have the following shoes in my closet?

The Era of Flowery Feet Begins: Shoes With Flowers

The spring is in full bloom here in Portland, and I’m still craving more blossoms.  I’m not alone.  Designers have dubbed this the “Season of the Flowers,” and if you ask me, there are few better places to place petals than at a beautiful woman’s feet–or on her shoes.    Yesterday, Baltimore Examiner writer Carole Langrall posted a great slideshow of flowery shoes on the runway.  Inspired by this lovely collection, I’ve gathered a few Shoefly pairs that feature flowers.  Enjoy, and may this spring mark your full blossoming into style!

Flat of the Day

From our observation, Shoeflyer isn’t the only fashion blog featuring new designer shoes to compliment the change in season. Furthermore, the hour of sunlight we’ve recently gained has also made it easier to step into Spring with new shoes on our feet.

BCBG Max Azria 2007 Collection

I’ve blogged several times about the collections showcased during last week’s 2007 edition of Fashion Week and the BCBG line is one I failed to mention. The 2007 BCBG Max Azria collection was unique for several reasons. First being the shoes presented and second being the lack of cosmetic look of the BCBG models.
