The Initial Musings of Fall Fashion 2009
Yes, I know we’re only halfway through summer, but talk of what’s going to be hot next season has already begun. The Boston Globe recently interviewed fashion director Julie Gilhart on what she anticipates to be “the shoe” of the fall season. Her answer? Keep reading…
If there is one shoe style Gilhart thought women should be investing in right now, it’s boots. Yup. Boots. And while she does anticipate seeing over-the-knee boots being a big hit this fall, she also remarked that any boot purchase is a safe one.
Since Shoefly is dedicated to keeping you hip with the latest in shoe fashion, here’s a few of our featured boots:
Mill by Franco Sarto. These traditionally elegant boots are perfect for the everyday.
This eloquent suede boot is Laud by Franco Sarto.
Carson by Frye. These boots bring colorful flare to their western feel.
Steve’s Delight by Naughty Monkey will have you on the forefront of fall fashion for sure.
Finally, Faith by Joy Chen will be the ideal boot for staying cozy and chic during the cold winter.
During the Q&A, Gilhart noted that current popular summer styles included gladiator sandals and flats. If you’re not stocked with a pair or two of each of these, don’t waste the rest of the summer without getting some! Fall is coming, but summer is still very much here.
