Designer Spotlight: Gentle Souls

Have you noticed the a pattern lately?  Shoeflyer has been featuring shoes by Gentle Souls, one of Kenneth Cole’s brands.  Gentle Souls shoes are designed for maximum comfort.  Four layers of specially designed materials in each Gentle Souls sole add up to walking-on-air comfort.   The outer layer is deerskin lining, which envelops your foot in breathable, soft comfort.  Below the deerskin is a layer of flaxseed pillows, which act like miniature beanbags to cradle your foot with each step.  Beneath the flaxseed pillows is a layer of memory-foam originally developed by NASA.  Finally, cork acts as the bedrock of Gentle Souls shoes, absorbing the force of walking on hard surfaces.

In addition to their luxurious comfort, I’m attracted to the unexpected tones in the Gentle Souls line.  From the Siena red in Scene It to the subdued gold of Gabby, Gentle Souls shoes slip easily into this season’s trend toward neutrals and  metallics.

Today I’m featuring another metallic Shoefly choice from Gentle Souls: Silver Sling, shown above.  Silver Slings will earn you fashionista points both for tone and texture.  Black is one of this season’s hottest colors, and the black Silver Sling lets you feel both comfortable and fashionable sporting an interesting texture and tone.
