Shuellas: A Fun Way to Protect Your Shoes
Now that the Shoefly Winter Sale has brought that perfect new pair into your world, make sure they last through the recession by protecting them against wintry conditions. The latest way to protect your pumps? Shuellas.
Shuellas are like a pair of umrellas for your most precious pumps. TODAY‘s style editor Bobbie Thomas recommends keeping a pair of Shuellas in your desk at work, or in your car’s glove compartment. That way, you’ll always be prepared for inclement, shoe-destroying weather.
Shuella designer Rebecca Miller created Shuellas after an unfruitful search for sleek shoe protectors. Since she couldn’t find what she wanted, she made it herself. Shuellas are durable and stylish. They slide into an included storage pouch, so you won’t have to worry about space. And they even come with a cloth to wipe off extra moisture before replacing them in their pouch.
Here’s a pair of shoes I would slip into Shuellas: 926 by One of 2 (sale price $75, reg. $134). After matching these black-berry beauties to my goth black lip gloss, I’d strap on Shuellas and stomp joyfully through the puddles, sure that my precious suede flats were safe and dry.
