Coclico Gives Obama the Boot
French designer Sandra Coclico has designed a gorgeous leather boot with a great heel, eye-catching piping, and a manageable heel. So far, so good: Coclico lovers are used to the designer’s fun, flirty, yet comfortable style. Here’s the rub: this boot’s namesake is presidential hopeful Barak Obama.
The Obama boot is the designer’s contribution to the American election– she decided to express her support for the senator from Illinois through a gorgeous shoe, since she can’t vote here in the states.
Coclico Obama Boots are about the same price McCain’s Ferragamos moccassins, which attracted criticism from some who say that McCain’s pricey footwear represents his isolation from middle-class concerns.
How are the Obama boots like the man himself? I speculate that the sturdy yet stylish boots correspond to his calm, strong demeanor and tailored, smooth style.

I might have to inquire after this boot, it’s really quite nice.
