Weekend in Review: Shoes and News
Happy Tuesday! Sorry I missed all of you yesterday. Lots of things happening in the shoe world this week. One new brand was announced, while another is slated to appear on shelves later this year. Plus, an old classic has decided to let you express your creative self with a shoe customization program. So exciting.
Kathryn Kerrigan — The shoe designer launched her own brand of fashionable, elegant shoes for women with larger feet. She wears a size 11 herself, and wants to help others who struggle to find their size in the shoe store.
Fabulosity — The new shoe and accessory brand will be developed by Kellwood Co., owner of Baby Phat and Phat Farm clothing, and Steve Madden Ltd. The two companies just recently entered a licensing agreement.
Keds Studio — The Stride Rite Corp’s "Keds" brand recently launched a website that allows you to customize graphics for the Keds Champion canvas shoe. The shoes are produced within 1 to 2 days and cost between $50 and $60.
