In Jamie’s Shoes: Springtime safari

Jamieprofilepic
This year’s spring trend is taking on the world.  The fashion is plated with hints of golden glimmer, and the coats and capris are laden with the subtle earth tones of sun-baked adobes and desert safaris (so one can remain unseen by the lions and tigers lurking about, of course), and the accessories and accents are infused with bright oranges and blues reminiscent of the Australian sunsets in a wistful walkabout.   Animal prints are still prevalent and finished with ornaments from a far away land.

For those of us who can splurge on the objects of desire while still hitting the streets ofArmy inspiration, Michael Kors has an adorable short-waist safari coat with a belt to cinch on your natural waist line.  Anthropologie has
a great light-weight linen shirt dress that is perfect for those trips to faraway places and is slightly easier on the pocket book.  They have taken the safari trend and crossed it with a military exhibition showcasing fuller sleeves and army flaps on the shoulders.  For those of us who need to save our pennies for the trip of desire (though still want to fit the part), Old Navy has just the solution with their safari-inspired line including coats, rompers and even dresses!  To bring a splash of color to our Earth-tone attire, check out this L.A.M.B. everyday bag big enough to fit in all your fashionable finds you gather through the Indian streets.  Finish the look off with beautiful bangles and necklaces, which gather the colors of the setting sun.
