It’s Monday and that can only mean one thing: It’s time to look at the hottest news in fashionable footwear.
Hot pink with envy—Reebok announced that they have teamed up again with international designer John Maeda to create a new high-fashion/highly retro fashion sneaker. Featuring hot pink straps and black velvet details, this sneaker is sure to stand out.
Bigger is better—At least when it comes to high heels. If you keep track of these kinds of things, you can’t help but notice that heels are getting higher and higher. If you don’t believe us, check out this article and accompanying photo as evidence. In the meantime we’ll wait patiently for the pendulum to swing the other way and for flats to become fashionable again.
Strappy flats for summer—We might not have to wait long for fashionable flats to become popular. We have it on very good authority that the gladiator sandals will be this summer’s must-have shoe. Available in every price range and in every style, you’re sure to find one that fits you.
Six-foot-four and still wears heels—We loved this New York Times essay written by six-foot-four Rebecca Thomas. While many of us short ladies would be happy to be a few inches taller, Thomas reveals how much unwanted attention she receives just for being tall. "Sometimes I wear heels," she confesses "just to make them look twice." We couldn’t agree more. Heels for everyone!
