Q&A: The skinny calf dilemma

This question was submitted to the Shoeflyer email address (shoeflyer@gmail.com); please feel free to submit your own!

Q: Hi!  I have chicken legs and very skinny calves!  Most tall boots I find are way too wide and gap around my calves. Can you suggest any particular styles/brands of tall sexy boots that work for small calves??

-Kimberly

A: "With your slender calves, you’re going to want to look for two things: soft materials and stretchiness (since boots cut in stretchy materials have a narrower cut).  Combined, soft material and stretch should hug even the skinniest of calves.

Worse comes to worse, if you find that the soft, stretchy boots are still over-sized for your calves, you can have a shoemaker take them in (or splurge for custom boots)."

-Colleen Geary, fashion stylist and image consultant

Here is a style that we can recommend from Shoefly.com, and remember that our 40% off sale is still on!
