Weekend in Review–Shoes and News
We know, there’s not much news hotter than that of Britney’s downfall, but, nevertheless, we’ve done our digging and have come up with a few happenings in the world of fashion and shoes online. With that, here’s what’s news:
- A crock of Croc’s—The Motley Fool reports that our not-so-favorite brand, Croc, is in a heap of difficulty, mostly as a result of competing brands taking advantage of expired patents. Don’t fret, a Croc’s spokesman states that the company’s not worried.
- Steve Madden does some sole searching—After 10 years in the fashion business, three years in jail and a head full of hair loss, Steve Madden is officially a shoe king. Newsday NY recently caught up with the fashion mogul to find out what’s new.
- Natalie Portman turns fashion designer—Natalie Portman is the newest Hollywood star-turned-designer. Natalie has teamed up with New York label Te Casan to create a collection of vegan and
animal-friendly footwear called the Natalie Portman Collection. The line will hit stores in February.
- Faryl Robin’s Story– One of our favorite designer’s, Faryl Robin, goes one-on-one with the New York Post, telling her story of how she got to where she’s at and what drives her company.
As if that weren’t enough for you on a busy Monday, why not check out this Camper Sale. You won’t find tents or sleeping bags at this sale, instead, you will find Shoefly’s entire inventory of Campers at 30 percent off!
