Fall shoe fashion

Crystal Boyles, of, has a few fashion tips for you this fall. She reminds all of us that shoes, as expensive as they can be sometimes, are a considerably cheap way to update an outfit without having to buy lots of other clothing items.  Here are some of her fashion dos and don’ts for your shoe selection this fall:

For the bolder fashion diva who can afford only one shoe purchase this fall:

• Try the updated twist on Mary Janes

For the classic woman:

• Go for the simple ballet flats, a perfect accessory for jeans or slacks

Knee-high boots:

• Wear under pants for classic look
• Pair with a skirt for a twist on the classic work outfit
• If you’re uber-trendy, throw them on with a pair of short shorts and dark tights. Compliment with numerous layers on your top
• Style them however you’re most comfortable

Booties for the trendy woman:

• Pair with dresses, skirts or shorts and tights

Booties for the classic woman:

• Wear with pants

Menswear fabrics:

• Tweeds and plaids are all the rage this fall
• Put a feminine twist on it by choosing more delicate styles, like a ballet flat

Patent leather

• Keep it simple
• Perfect for the workplace or with jeans and a fancy shirt
