Weekend in Review-Shoes and News
Well, we were about to brag about the clear skies that returned this week, but it began pouring about an hour ago. Gotta love Portland. The weather is beautiful one day and miserable another. The great part about that is that it lets us switch up our shoe styles daily instead of seasonally, for the most part at least. Moving on, here are some exciting headlines in the world of fashion:
Safari style—NBC’s article talks about the best styles that the jungle has to offer, from leopard prints to snake, and faux fur to feathers.
Art & science—U.S. designer Taryn Rose uses her experience as an orthopedic foot surgeon to design shoes that look great and don’t hurt your feet.
It’s all in the laces—An article from Wired.com offers directions and great diagrams of different, "fashionable" ways to lace your shoes.
Become a shoe designer—Here’s a list of schools around the world where you can learn how to design your own line of kicks.
