Shoes you can’t use

Every now and again we run, or perhaps walk, into shoes which serve absolutely no functional purpose. However, they are fun to look at whether useful or useless. That being said, today is an extra special day, as we have two such shoes for your entertainment. Both of these marvels of futuristic footwear take the name "concept shoe" to knew heights and leave us wondering what the future has in store for our feet. Let’s just hope it has nothing to do with these beauties. Now for the shoe:

First up is the backwards heel by Mark Jacobs—It’s fun, it’s crazy, it functions, yet it looks incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. A fun idea nonetheless, but something we’d expect from Irregular Choice, not Marc Jacobs.

Second we’ve got the ever-so-unorthodox "Sportiletto" by Balenciaga. Is it a fun concept? Yes! But, in our opinion, the Sportiletto is the product of a major league baseball player colliding at full-speed with an NFL player while both are wearing high heels.  We’re just saying…
