Weekend in review-shoes and news
Happy Monday, friends. Once again, there was no shortage of exciting happenings in the realm of shoes and fashion this weekend. With that, we present to you last weekend’s shoe, fashion and celebrity gossip review:
- Paris turns entrepreneur with shoes—The verdict is out, Paris Hilton has made the jump from prison slippers to designer shoes. This comes as a result of the Hollywood socialite’s recently inked deal with the Antebi Footwear Group to create a Paris Hilton shoe line. Paris proclaims the goal of this initiative is "to create a stylish and fun fashion line from head to toe." Does this mean there’s a Paris Hilton clothing line in the works too? Be still our hearts.
- Shoes wrecked Sarah Jessica Parker—"Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker claims that stiletto shoes have damaged her knees. This news comes as a result of Sarah Jessica stepping (pun intended) back into her role as the shoe-obsessed star, Carrie, of "Sex and the City." Nope… the show is not coming back, instead, it’s going to the big screen.
- If the shoe fits, write on it—At least that’s what New York Times writer Brendan Koerner says, referring to the popular trend of drawing on canvas shoes. The trend of "tagging" shoes is gaining popularity amongst kids nationwide thanks to Graffeeti brand shoes.
