Young ladies in Waukesha, Wis., can sleep a little better now knowing their shoes are safe. Earlier this week Waukesha Police sniffed out 1,500 pairs of stolen shoes. According to police reports, a 26-year-old man, Erik Heinrich, burglarized three different area high schools a total of six times, taking mostly just shoes from the ladies locker rooms. Upon search of Heinrich’s home and rented storage unit, police discovered boxes upon boxes of girls shoes and socks, not to mention a few yearbooks, photos and even a pair of ladies underwear.
When asked about his fetish for girls shoes, Heinrich said "he liked to smell them," says Waukesha police Lt. William Graham. Yikes! Though Heinrich has only been charged with stealing the girls shoes, we think women all over the world will sleep better knowing they, as well as their shoes, are safe.
