Weekend in Review – Shoes and News
For most of us business folk, it was a long weekend and with long weekends come long departures from shoe blogging. Fortunately, for us, reporters don’t take weekends off, so there’s a plethora of shoe related news to report on. Here’s a few headlines we thought you’d enjoy:
- Kansas kids lace up to support their Veterans – Most kids spend Memorial Day weekend at the beach, but not in Kansas. Students at the Kansas City Christian School spent four days "running across Kansas" and raised just over $17,000 for the Kansas Veterans of Foreign Wars program.
- SOD, That’s Shoe Obsession Disorder – Over the weekend, researchers discovered a new psychological disease. It’s called Shoe Obsession Disorder and women all over the world have lost their jobs, homes and husbands as a result.
- Summer Shoe Shopping – Transitioning from spring to summer isn’t easy on our feet, and in turn, it’s not easy on our checkbooks either. Here’s some tips and tricks for updating your shoe wardrobe this Summer.
- Agony of the Feet – Our feet are precious, yet we still feel it’s necessary to torture them for the sake of fashion. The Daily News reports on the damaging effects our shoes have on our feet.
