What to wear With Your Shoes This Spring
When the seasons change the shoes on your feet should change as well. After all, you wouldn’t wear a pair of black stiletto boots with a jean skirt and tank top. Or would you? If that’s the case…I wouldn’t if I were you!
With that said, updating your shoe collection to complement the warmer climates isn’t necessarily the challenging part of dressing your best. Rather, sometimes figuring out what to wear with your new wedge sandals or strappy flats creates the fashion dilemma. Luckily I came across a list of things to think about when selecting outfits to complement your new Spring footwear. Here are few of the important bits of shoe information:
- Wood wedges look best with sun dresses and other airy garments, cotton and linen fabrics are best.
- When wearing any shoe with an ankle wrap, be it espadrilles or sandals, it’s easy to make your legs look shorter than they really are. To prevent this try wearing a shorter skirt, preferably above the knee.
- Ballet flats are the best – they can be worn with anything from cotton skirts and shorts to a summer suit.
- Peep Toe shoes are a staple for Spring and Summer. Depending on the heel height they can look great with pants, but when you get higher than a couple inches they work best with more sophisticated skirts and dresses.
