Designer Feet to Fit Designer Shoes
Alright, this one is a little weird. During this morning’s search for the latest in designer shoes, I came across an interesting press release. It’s not so much about designer shoes, but about designer feet instead. I’m talking about the $3.5 billion cosmetic foot surgery industry that’s on the rise and changing the way people walk, literally.
After reading the press release promoting Dr. Sadrieh’s cosmetic foot surgery services, I decided to dig a little more. Mostly because I know a lot of you are probably wondering what exactly cosmetic foot surgery entails. Women can have a number of different cosmetic procedures performed to make their feet appear more attractive and/or help walking in heels more comfortable. It’s said that cosmetic foot surgeries cost between $1,000 and $3,500 and are usually performed within a few hours using only local anesthesia. Here are a few of the more popular cosmetic foot surgeries:
- Toe Tucks to shorten your toes
- Foot Sculpture to remove excess fat and/or narrow the foot
- Botox for the feet (or Footox) to eliminate unsightly veins and excessive
sweating - Foot Cushions which involves collagen injections or silicone implants in the bottom of feet
