The Future of Fashion is in Customization

It’s no secret that one of the biggest and fastest growing trends in fashion is customization. Many fashion savvy consumers will agree that good taste isn’t always determined by what you have, rather , it’s determined by what others don’t have. The Fashion Journal in today’s Wall Street Journal is all about this phenomenon, arguing that the future of fashion is custom and cheap.

In the featured article, journalist Teri Agins writes about what some popular fashion designers, such as Gucci, Dior, Vera Wang, and L.A.M.B, are doing to help consumers customize their products and make them more affordable.  The market for luxury fashion goods is growing rapidly and competition is fierce, so some designer brands feel it’s important to give the consumers what they truly want; which in our opinion, is goods news for consumers of designer goods.
