terra-fic
Italians, shoes, and boots. They just go together. Like Fred and Ginger, french fries and ranch, or Sundays and hangovers (oh, is that just me?).
The "Terra" boot from Italian designer Zita Maria is no exception. Expertly combining sophisticated style with a bit of biker boot flair, the "Terra" is the perfect boot to accent every pair of jeans in your closet, every pair of trousers at the dry cleaners, and all those little skirts you’ve been waiting to wear.
As I was desperately in need of a new pair of brown boots (my well-worn cowboy boots and "what was I thinking" bowling shoe inspired numbers were just not cutting it any more). I was more than pleasantly surprised to find the perfect brown, womens boot that could easily transition from workday to afterwork play with the lubricated ease of a vodka martini.
I found it as soon as I stepped into Shoefly and spied this Zita Maria. I love the warm, off-brown color they call "tobacco" (which unfortunately is perfect for me). It goes with everything, and feels appropriate to every season. I love the comfortable chunky heel in contrast to the pristinely shiny leather and the not quite round, not quite pointed toe.
If you feel your feet may need to get back on Atkins to fit into this sleek boot, never fear! I found that although a little snug at first, they stretch to the perfect fit with a few wears.
Go on, treat yourself to this "earthly" delight.
